I don't mean put on a dress or become bi or anything
like that. What I'm suggesting is some serious "market research".
I used to be a college tutor. This meant I had to mark students'
essays. It was a revelation. I wish I'd been a teacher when
I was a student because the insights you get sitting on the
other side of the table are incredible. I used to find that
most students essays were identical. I don't mean they had
copied each others work or copied straight out of a book.
But, except for a few exceptional students, most said the
same thing. I wish I had known how unoriginal my work must
have looked when I was a student. It would have encouraged
me to do something different and be original.
To research this guide I placed ads pretending to be a guy
on several adult personals websites. I was completely shocked
at how few replies I got. I think I got about five over several
months! This was a shock because in the first three days of
placing one genuine ad on just one site I received over 600
replies! I was also shocked at the poor quality of the replies
I got from my pretend ad. I replied to all the girls but only
got one genuine follow up reply - the others were only interested
in cyber or never bothered replying again. The one genuine
reply I got was from a woman who looked more like my
grandma! If this is your experience then I'm not surprised
you decided to buy this guide.
For a bit of fun I would highly recommend doing the same -
pretend to be a girl looking for sex and see how many replies
you get! you don't have to ask your best friend Sue for a
photo of her slit - girls don't even need photographs to get
hundreds of replies from sex-starved guys.
TIP Don't use your genuine email address
when you place a pretend ad. Go to one of the big websites
like hotmail.com or yahoo.com and set up a special email address
which you can abandon afterwards.
Apart from seeing how many replies you get, reading the replies
will also be an education. What I find is that a lot of guys
using personals write the same thing. I hope you don't mind
me saying this but I think you'd prefer me to be honest, right?
I also find that most guys make some pretty fatal mistakes
replying to ads because they don't know what its like to sit
on the other side of the table.
Summary: So
we've identified the number 1 problem: too many guys, too
few girls. One of my tips is to play the numbers game. Before
I give you tips about how to reply to ads I want to talk about
another major theme: paying for it!
